Camps

We organise camps and residential experiences for school groups, youth groups, church groups, dads and lads, gifted and talented pupils... please contact us with your request.

We have a lovely meadow for camping, near the Madford River and with lots of space for games.  The woodland is just a short walk from there.  Feedback from children and adults who have been camping with us is always very positive - please scroll down to see some testimonials.

Wildside overnights

Ideal for school groups, youth groups, adult groups and birthday parties.  The group camp in tents or in our shelters; meals are cooked over the campfire.

Activities are tailored to the group.  They start in the light, continue into the night and recommence early the next morning... including games, nature awareness, encounters with wildlife and studying the night sky.

The cost for an overnight (approx. 4pm-11am) is £30 per participant for a group of 12-15.  For a group of 12-15 young people, we would ask you to provide 2-4 adult helpers for whom there is no charge.  Our price includes dinner and breakfast.  We choose to use good quality food that is free range, organic, fair trade and locally sourced where possible.

We have template letters with kit lists that you can use.

Please contact us to arrange a Wildside overnight for your group.

Some feedback we've had...

Thank you so much for a magical evening, night and morning in the woods.  The thought, care and attention to detail you gave made the experience very special.  So many moments of awe and wonder for the children; memories they will take with them throughout their lives and that may well inspire them to seek other opportunities in the outdoors.  I am already looking forward to bringing next year's Year 6!                Headteacher, Thorverton C of E Primary School.

I really enjoyed sitting and waiting in the dark on our own.  I thought I would find it really scary but I felt surprisingly safe.  I even saw 2 badgers!!  It was very exciting and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Young person from  St. Andrew's Church Youth Group.

It was really good, a different experience to all our group.  Will definitely come back.  Especially enjoyed night-time activities and shelter building.  It was nice knowing that we built what we slept in.  Also a lovely spot in the woods.  Boy age 14 after a bushcraft camp.
